Axemaster 2009 Results
First of all, thanks to everybody for coming. This was the largest Axemaster field we've had so far, and it was great to see some new players. Things went pretty smoothly given that it was the first tournament I've run, and people seemed to be having a good time. We also want to thank Mil Sims again for sponsoring the tournament and supplying prizes - without their help the spoils of victory would be pretty slim.
The results:
1st overall: Dino Zanon (Daemons of Chaos)
2nd overall: Yan Zhi Lai (Tomb Kings)
3rd overall: Chris Cousens (Daemons of Chaos)
Best Sports: David Price (Lizardmen)
Player's Choice: Drew McLean (Orcs and Goblins)
The final scores were actually quite close, with only five points between the top three places. There was a pretty wide spread of armies in the top ten - a strong showing from the usual suspects, but also some Ogres, Tomb Kings and Orcs. A big thanks to Mark Skilton and Mike Crossman for helping out with the comp judging (so if anybody's cranky at their score, you have three people to blame rather than just me...)
