Is anyone out there selling off the Dwarves from Skull pass? Or have you all sold them already, you money grubbing bastards?
Let me know. They will actually be put to a good use. They will even be painted!Â

As long as I keep going on
As long as I keep going on this O&G army, I will definately buy another battle for skull pass.
If you want to buy the dwarves off me for $30, that'd be great.
If anything I just want the spiders. To make night goblin spider riders with the individual boxes woudl cost me $100=Spider box+Night globlin box.
OR I could buy skull pass for $80, sell the dwarves for $30 and be left with the night goblin spider riders AND 50 more night goblins all for $50. Not to mention a troll, two characters, and more crappy terrain. I'[m so gonna convert a night goblin BSB out of the big boss and the top of the idol of gork.
In fact, the ONLY thing you get in the night goblin box that remotely intrests me are the netters. But I could convert them anyway methinks. Hand weapons and shields sounds nice, but I really couldn't care less about the goblins surviving, so bows are just a better choice... As for the forst goblins, I convert them to be night goblins, so again I don't want the riders.
Gee, GW marketing didn't really consider my personal preferences AT ALL when they came up with this lot. But seriously, they didn't need to build TWO moulds for spider riders... Why not invest in designing and constucting a plastic mould that people will actually buy a lot of, like a black orc mould or savage orc mould?
I'd love to subsidize your
I'd love to subsidize your gobbos in return for Dwarves!
Heh. Yeah, it is stupid. I'm going to be making almos the whole of this Dwarf army from Skull Pass dwarves and a battalion box. I'm going to make the hammerers by replacing the great axe heads with hammer heads. I worked out I could do 1500 points just from those two boxes easily.Â
And why don't they make Plastic chaos knights, or plastic boar boys huh? They'd sell really well! And knowing GW, they would cost as much as the metal ones anyway.Â
If you wich to go out and buy the box, I can pay you on Saturday, or alternatly, I could pay you on Saturday, and then you will have the money to buy the box!Â
heh i have 3 sets of skull
heh i have 3 sets of skull pass dwarves =) but havent even thought about starting on them.. its nearly 2000 points worth though.. and i was thinkin of using the giant moon as a bsb standard as well.. but tried it out n it looked kinda crappy how i did it
Then try using it as a Dwarf
Then try using it as a Dwarf battle standard! Maybe a captured trophy or something. And use the captured slayer as a Gobbo battle standard! That'll put those Dwarves in thier place!
PRetty cool
Actually, thebound dwarf would look kinda cool at a BSB.Green stuff some ropes to go around the pole and he'd looks very cool, though I don't imagine even the strongest goblin coudl lift a dwarf on a pole. But if we're playing wargames, I guess we're not so concerned with realism...
That's cool that you're starting a new dwarf army own. Dwarves are cool. If you'd like both king's walls to build a themed terrain peice for your army, you're welcome to them. I'm sure you could get some more from aroudn the club and make a cool dwarf mine entrance or the like.Â
Gotta love cheap miniatures
Ai, the craziness of it all! Noakes, I don't think Dwarfs would ever even touch a goblin standard (who knows where it has been?). In fact, I don't think Dwarfs should be allowed to capture goblin standards at all... ;-)
I agree that the bound Dwarf would make a pretty good standard, though. After all, what else is he good for?
Owen, let me know if you manage to come up with a good way for converting some of these single-pose Dwarfs, as I think 2 boxes of the same guy is a little overwelming. Doesn't seem to matter so much the goblins, though.
Drew, more than half of the night goblins with spears are holding them away from their bodies in a manner that just begs for them to be chopped down into hand weapons. The rest are probably too much effort, though.
Owen, you going to turn some of those Dwarf musicians (the ones with huge horns) into guys holding massive drinking horns? Gotta be scope for something like that in there...
Hey Hoodling. I'm not going
Hey Hoodling.
I'm not going to use 2 boxes of Skull Pass dwarves, only one. I'll be using a Dwarf battalion box for most of the rest, plus a few metal minis. I was thinking about using the new plastic Dwarf cannon crewman with the big barral as a standard bearer (they flock to the beer, not the banner!) I have to have a look at the skull pass stuff before i can say anything much about conversions, but I'm sure i'll manage something. I was looking at them in WD today, the warriors are a bit flat, and have odd faces, but the rest of them have better faces. I'll probably end up doing some weapon swaps etc. using spares from dwarf warrior regiments. See how I go. Not sure about drinking horns, I have to see how they work first.
Drew:
I'll take the kings wall. I might be able to manage something.
Other thoughts:
I'll be using a grudge pony as a beer wagon in one of the regiments for sure. If i can get a spare pony, i was thinking of giving the rangers a pack mule to lug thier beer around. I'm also thinking about emtrenchments for cannons. I was thinking since my army is either defending the brewery, or escorting beer shipments, they might come up with a sort of mobile entrenchment thing which is carried on thier steam wagons.
hey greg, i meant use the
hey greg, i meant use the standard on agobbo bsb thingy. and also the tied up dwarf is obviously gonan be amunition for my rock lobba... infacti h ave 2 tied up dwarves! lots of ammo!
Couldn't wait for the Skull
Couldn't wait for the Skull Pass dwraves, I had to try out the color scheme on the free one from WD last month. I've started up a modeling diary thing about the army on my site (http://pwi.awardspace.com/ironfoundersonsbrewers.htm) if you want to go check it out and keep abreast of my doings.
Very Cool mate. Look forward
Very Cool mate. Look forward to seing them.
Yay! I have the Skull Pass
Yay! I have the Skull Pass dwarves, and have started doign silly things to them! I'll be posting stuff to my modeling diary thing-o as and when it happens. At the moment, I;m working on the Warriors, and I'm about 90% finished paitning the first 6 of them. More random silliness to follow!
Oh, and Drew, you owe me $44. I assume you want the itty-bitty rule book and the poke-your-oponent's-eye-out sticks etc. If you don't we can neogtiate or something.Â
I was gonna give the rule
I was gonna give the rule book to Dene. Apart form that, I really don't need another set of templates or dice (I aready have 1 and 4 sets of them respectively).
But that's cool, you can never have too many dice. I could cut some in half and make rigged artillery dice- that'd be cool.
What? And stop all the
What? And stop all the rumours of your cheatiiness in thier tracks by proving them? never!
drew if u make rigged
drew if u make rigged artilery dice u have to make them all misfire!, cause your cheating is never to your benefit
