The time of Terrainicide is once more upon us...

Greetings mere mortals! Let it be known that the mystic time known as 'Meed Semestra Brake' is upon us, which signals the dread festival of Terrainicide.

Currently schedualed for creation are more chaos woods, and an extensive blown up, bombed, blitzed and buggerized 40K railway system.

What else do people fancy? Anything feasible, or do you all want life sized working mega gargants like last time I asked this question?

Heh- I should really make

Heh- I should really make some more monorail...
And some more sections of that cathedral...

And some more DoW buldings, I said I'd make some of them too.
CAn anyone else think of anything else I said I'd make?

Perhaps we could get each

Perhaps we could get each hampton member to chip in to get the $300 CoD box of ten buildings, which look pretty shmick! And then you could go to work and 'pimp' them.

Pimpin'?!

I recon we could have put togehter a decent number of our own buildings cept that holidays are almost over. Close to GW detail at a fraction of the cost.

The club kitty could probably afforc the buildings right now, but it's a matter of everyone wanting them. I don't know if a large enough proportion of the club population would want them, though I agree they're quite nice.

Pimptastic

Yeah thats fair enough, im just greedily wanting some buildings to crash around in. "Shoot rapidfire through a solid wall will you?", "Why yes, with the CoD book i can, have at thee!"

The great cursade of Terrainicide

UNfortunatly, the great crusade of Terrainicide has been de-railed by the dreaded mek-itis (a rare, and uncurablke disease which strikes Ork players and makes them want to scrathc build random vehicles. I thought i'd beaten it what with building a Fighta Bomba, and switching to Feral orks and all, but no!)

On the subject of Pimpin' buildings, i think the club kitty stands at around $250 at preseent (i have not counted it in a while), so we'd have to blow the lot to get a decent number of GW buildings. If it makes you feel better Waaagh ben, I'll scratch build you a Bordello (hey - it's a pretty pimpin' building!) until then, you'll have to make do with the Hemi Cuda pimp mobile. (Okay, it' a beat up junker I built for necro, but it's got four wheels!)

CNC buildings

Have you considered the CNC workshop(sp?) buildings? They make a bunch of simple mdf(i think) buildings that look pretty good. The ork building set(they call it 'sand' i think) look particularly good, the best bit is theyre cheap as chips. Perhaps getting a few of these could save some time in making up a city board, and would probably provide good bases for more elaborate stuff like the terrain already at the club.

Just an idea really, could make scatch building quicker.

Also, Owen, Nick tells me you've got a rather snazzy squiggoth! any chance i could take a look at it? I really need to get mine up to scratch for JD next weekend.

terrain posters

Some of the terrain posters GW released for medusa V.

*shrugs* could be useful.

Yeah. I know the ones you

Yeah. I know the ones you are talking about, (the CNC MDF things) and they are fairly nice. Thing is, I'm sort of opposed to ever paying money for terrain! The hobby is expensive enough! I prefer to make all my stuff out of random junk anyway. We've practically got a city fight board or two anyway when you combine all the ruins and Necro industrial terrain we've got.

Hey owen, any chance you

Hey owen, any chance you could do zee 40k players a favour and make up a handful of objective markers?

They could be whatever you want, piles of dead bodies, an icecream truck, etc.  Just gotta be around 40-60mm base size i guess. Thought itd be cool to have some sort of worthwhile objective other than "Whoever gets to the single nurgling first gets to squish it!"

We'll probably only need like 3-5, since you need a few on the loot missions. But yeah, thatd be sweet if you could do it. Lemme know if you need any bits.

We've got some Loot counters

We've got some Loot counters for Necromunda (in the Necromunda Box, inside a red jar) which you could use for now. Pete's been talking about possibly making some new, larger, more bling-tastic loot counters.

I've got some spare bases, so if i don;t have much else to do some time, I'll have a bash at some objective markers for you guys. I can;t promise an ice-cream truck, butI'm sure i can do something!

objectives

hey ben, i dunno if you've seen my skull piles, if not ill show you on the weekend,i have 3 resin skull piles that stand about shoulder high on a marine and overflow a 20mm base, i use them as generic markers for all the games i play.  you can get them from eureka miniatures on poath road for ...2 bucks 50 each i think?

any way juse what i use for generic markers thought you'd like to know

The manufacture of objective

The manufacture of objective markers is well in hand. I have about 7 now, and I keep having ideas. Is there no stopping this unstopable juggernuat of marker building mayhem?
(actually, there is - a pot of Goblin Green will stop it, cause then i can get on with the Gretchin i need to paint...)

Lol, awesome! im looking

Lol, awesome! im looking forward to some looting missions this sat then!

Check out some derivan minis 'sherwood green', almost exactly the same as goblin, same as GW price, but 36ml, instead of shitty GW 12ml crap! Thatll keep the gobs churning out for yeeeeaaaars.Â
